We are aware that the e-mail confirming entry refers to the October 2016 Rapidplay. This is something we do not have the power to fix, but we are trying to find a solution!

There will be seven rounds and play will commence at 10.30am. Each player has 15 mins + 10 seconds per completed move.

The event will be organised in the following sections: -

 Open (All players)

Major (max grade 170)

Intermediate (max grade 140)

Minor (max grade 110)

Entry fees are:

Open £16, Other Sections £13, all players.

Entrants who are not ECF Silver member or above must pay a surcharge of £7.

Entries on the day (subject to organiser's discretion) required to pay a late fee of £10.


Prize money:

 FIDE Open: 1st £200, 2nd £100, 3rd: £50; Grading £25

Other sections: 1st £120, 2nd £60, 3rd: £30.

Eligibility for grade-restricted sections will be determined by the January 2017 ECF grading list. All sections will be ECF graded and FIDE-rated. The following priority will be used for section allocation and seeding:

(1) ECF Rapidplay Grade

(2) ECF Standardplay Grade

(3) FIDE Rapidplay Rating (converted using the formula: (FIDE – 700) / 7.5)

(4) Other Rating Assigned by the Organiser
